Consecration of Russia

Details from Lucia of Fatima

Sister Lucia wrote to Father Gonzales in 1930
She wrote: "The good God promises to make an end of the persecution of Russia if the Holy Father deigns to make and orders to be made by all the Bishops of the Catholic world, the solemn and public act of reparation and consecration of Russia."
In a letter of 12 June 1930, she said, "If only the Holy Father will himself make a solemn act of reparation and consecration of Russia as well as ordering all the Bishops of the Catholic world to do the same."

Later, in 1931, Our Lord himself communicated to Sister Lucia through an interior locution, the following warning:
"They did not want to heed my request! Like the King of France, they will repent and do it, but it will be late. Russia will already have spread its errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions against the church: the Holy father will have much to suffer."

Our Lord then declared to Sister Lucia
"Make it known to my ministers that, given they follow the King of France in delaying the execution of my request, that they follow him into misfortune. It will never be too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary"

On February 28, 1943, Sister Lucia of Fatima wrote a letter to Bishop Antonio Garcia of Tuy-Vigo of what God wished and asked from the Bishops of Spain, for the welfare of their own and other nations, which read; "If the Bishops of Spain listen to the decrees already manifested by Our Lord, and begin a true reform (conversion) of the people and clergy, then it will go well. But if not, Russia will again be the enemy by which God will punish her once more."

The Virgin Mary appeared to Sister Lucy in May 1952 and said: "Make it known to the Holy Father that I am always awaiting the Consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart. Without the Consecration, Russia will not be able to convert, nor will the world have peace."

"But she
(Sister Lucia) said more than once, and with deliberate emphasis : What Our Lady wants is that the Pope and all the Bishops in the world shall Consecrate Russia to Her Immaculate Heart on one special day. If this is done, She will convert Russia and there will be peace. If it is not done, the Errors of Russia will spread through every Country in the World."
"Does this mean, in your opinion, that every Country, without exception, will be overcome by Communism?" Sister Lucia replied "Yes!" Our Lady of Fatima, 1947, page 226

Sister Lucia asked why He (Christ) would not convert Russia except through the specific Consecration of Russia, Jesus replied:
"Because I want my whole church to recognise the Consecration as a triumph of the Immaculate Heart Of Mary, so that later on My Church will extend the devotion to the Immaculate Heart and place this devotion beside devotion to My Sacred Heart."

Sister Lucia said to Fr. Fuentis
"Tell them Father, that many times the Most Holy Virgin told my cousins Francisco and Jacinta that many Nations will disappear from the earth. She said (The BVM) that Russia will be the instrument of chastisement chosen by Heaven to punish the whole world if we do not beforehand obtain the conversion of that poor Nation."

In an interview which appeared in the September 1985 issue of Sol de Fatima, Sister Lucia was asked if the Pope had fulfilled the request made by Our Lady at Tuy when he Consecrated the World in 1984. Sister Lucia answered, "There was no participation of all the Bishops, and there was no mention of Russia." The interviewer then asked, "So the Consecration was not done as requested by Our Lady?" Sister Lucia answered, "No, many Bishops attached no importance to the act."
On July 20, 1987, Sister Lucia stated to Enrico Romero, in a subsequently published interview that the Consecration of Russia requested by Our Lady of Fatima is not yet done.
